 note = {New parameters to specify the sharpness of symmetric powder diffraction peak profiles are proposed. The parameters are defined through the ν-th order moment of the Fourier transform of the profile function. The exact solutions about typical model profile functions and theoretical size-broadening profile with statistical size-distribution are presented.
