In the normal state, the hyperfine fields have been estimated to be -250 and -72 kOe/μB above and below TL, respectively. The reduction in the magnitude of hyperfine field is considered to be due to a strong s-d mixing induced by the lattice transformation. Above TL the V 3d derived density of states N3d(εF) obtained from K and the spin-lattice relaxation rate 1/T1 T is comparable with that estimated by a band calculation. The Knight shift due to 3d spin vanishes well below the superconducting transition temperature Tc.
